Glenfiddich’s Experimental Series aims to push whiskey boundaries and challenge tradition. For each flavour; IPA, Project XX, and Winter Storm we crafted individual animations that celebrate this innovative spirit, adding depth to the storytelling and visually immersing the viewer in the essence of each whisky flavour.
Our motion artists created visuals that use a captivating mix of signatures, tasting notes, hand-lettering drawn with expressive brushstrokes photography, scientific equations, technical drawings, diagrams, and key messages. This combination tells a beautiful story that not only catches the eye but also reflects the diverse personalities behind each experiment. This treatment brings to life the unique essence of every whisky, creating a narrative that’s as rich and complex as the flavours themselves.
India Pale Ale
Our team brought the story of the India Pale Ale Cask Finish to life by refreshing the Experimental Series look through expressive brush strokes, warm golden tones, and detailed illustrations of hops and craft barrels. This animation reflects the vibrant character of the whisky itself, inspired by its bespoke IPA barrel finish and zesty citrus profile. Designed to feel modern, compelling, and luxurious, the piece captures the energetic spirit of innovation at the heart of the Glenfiddich Experimental Series.
Winter Storm
Our animators brought the story of Winter Storm to life by drawing from its frosted Canadian origins and the rare process behind its creation. Inspired by the intensity of Icewine and the craftsmanship of Glenfiddich’s 21-year-old malt, the animation pairs cool, crisp tones with sweeping brush strokes and refined illustrative elements. A visual fusion of elegance and contrast, the piece captures the balance of candied fruit, tropical notes, and the rich dryness that defines this unique expression. Modern and luxurious, it refreshes the Experimental Series look while honouring the bold spirit of innovation behind Winter Storm.
Project XX
We brought the story of Project XX to life by placing the bottle at the heart of the composition, letting its presence carry the warmth and character of this unique expression. Behind it, ‘XX’ is revealed in rich gold brush strokes, a subtle yet striking nod to the collaborative spirit and experimental nature of the whisky. Supporting illustrations bring notes of vanilla oak and soft spice into focus, creating a sense of depth and balance. The result is a modern, confident visual that honours the craft and innovation behind Project XX.
